Hi. I’m Judson Vaughn, the creator of Boy Howdy. I’m a retired marketing guy who has had this strip in my mind for decades.

My main influences are Odd Bodkins, by Dan O’Neill; Krazy Kat, by George Herriman; and Too Much Coffee Man, by Shannon Wheeler. and, of course, Calvin and Hobbs.

My drawing style is rough, with sketchy lines and mostly flat colors. I want it to appear as though I just dashed off the drawing, though each one takes about 2-4 hours to complete.

I mostly work in pen and ink, largely in black and white. though I am experimenting with color more.

I love mixing scientific, political, theological, and metaphysical themes and tropes.
